WORSHIP GOD WHEN IN DESPAIR
But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble. Psalm 59:16 KJV
The psalmist started this stanza with a contrast " But" I will sing:
Of thy power yes
Of thy mercy in the morning.
He gives reason for singing about the power of God.
He is my defender
And refuge.
When?
In the day of my trouble. Waooo!!!
In the day of my trouble that is almost consuming me his mercy speaks for me. Because of his mercy I am not consumed.
His power kept me from being overcome by many troubles of life. I take my refuge in Him. He is the Rock of my salvation.
I hide myself in Him. When those that gang up against me will not give up on their attack on me. I run to Him. For his name is a mighty tower, the righteous runs into it and he is safe
I will therefore sing of His power and mercy in the day of my trouble. I enjoy his covering. I enjoy the demonstration of His power over my Life. Hallelujah!!!. Praise God!
So when we are surrounded by enemies, worship God. He will not let you down.
What do you need to worship God for today?
- For strength during a situation that leaves you helpless
- His protection during troubling times
- His unending compassionate love towards me and my family.
PRAYER
LORD JESUS, I NEED GRACE AND STRENGTH TO WORSHIP YOU IN ANY AND EVERY SITUATION IN LIFE, IN JESUS MIGHTY NAME AMEN
