"Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the uttermost sea shall your coast be." (Deuteronomy chapter 11 verse 24)
The condition given to the children of Israel was, "Every place on which the sole of your foot treads shall be yours."
God needed their obedience and faith, upon His word so that He could give them the land of promise.
In similar terms, Jesus said in the book of Matthew chapter 9 verse 29(b), “According to your faith let it be done to you”
God gave the Word to the people of Israel, and they acted upon the Word and it delivered results to them. We, likewise need to have appropriating faith in regard to the Word of God. We must make God’s Word as our own personal possession.
God wants to do great things in our lives, our family, our careers, even in our health, and relationships. He desires to see our obedience to His Word and also our faith in His Word. The Bible says in the book of Isaiah chapter 1 verse 19, "If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:"
Do you know that our obedience and submission to God’s Word can endear us to divine favor and render our enemies helpless, to the end that we enjoy a hurt-free life?
I think I may not be wrong by saying that obedience is the hard currency by which we can trade in God's kingdom.
To be able to enjoy the good things that God has destined for us in this land of the living, we must walk in obedience. In other words, obedience has the highest purchasing power as far as our Christian faith is concerned.
From our Scripture reading for today, we see that the children of Israel must obediently tread upon the length and the breadth of the land of promise in order to possess it. What was required for success was simply obedience and faith. The people of God were called to obey God's Word, and at the same time to put their faith to work.
When we portray great faith, we would also have great blessings. On the other hand, when we exhibit little faith, we are bound to receive little blessings. Meanwhile, if we have no faith at all, then we may altogether likely not have God’s blessing in life.
The Psalmist says in the book of Psalm chapter 16 stanza 6, "The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage."
By the grace of God Almighty, in this remaining part of the year 2024, we are entitled to nothing less than NEW THINGS, that call for celebration, because the lines have fallen unto us in pleasant places; yea, we have a goodly heritage, in Jesus name.
Henceforth, all who know, see and hear about us shall witness the beauty of God's providence in our lives, in Jesus name.
As we march through the length and breadth of God's promises by faith, we shall by all means have them even as God has said, in Jesus name.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, I thank You for making the lines to fall unto me in pleasant places in the remaining part of the year 2024, in Jesus' Mighty name
