" … let us run with patience the race that is set before us. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God." – Heb.12.2

Apostle Paul in the Scripture we just read, admonishes us to run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith. We are not to look unto Jesus for encouragement only; we are also to look unto Jesus as our perfect example, in order to follow in His footsteps.

From time to time in our journeys of life, we sometimes find ourselves in a state of tiredness and confusion. At such times, we've got know what to do; fixing our gaze upon the Saviour is the ultimate, like the children of

Issachar who had the. understanding of the times.

  "And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment." -- 1Chr.12.32

Looking unto other gods for deliverance, healing and salvation has brought untold hardship and loss to many, while looking unto great men and women that are successful in life and ministry has resulted in great disappointment, sorrow and pain. As a matter of fact, this has been a major cause of failure in life. But on the other hand, there is no failure or disappointment in Jesus. Looking unto Jesus can only increase your faith and lead to physical and spiritual upliftment in life.

Apostle Peter looked unto Jesus and was never disappointed.

"And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus." - Matthew 14:29

Making Jesus the object of his focus, Peter was able to walk on water, the reverse was the case as he took his eyes off Jesus: he sank!

This is exactly what happens when we take off our focus on Jesus.

Jesus is the only and true answer. Do not make the mistake of making Him an option in your life, because the repercussions may be very discouraging.

Father, I receive the grace to always look unto You for everything I need in life, in Jesus Mighty name. 🙏 🙏 🙏
