BE FULL OF HOPE

TEXT

"According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing l shall be ashamed ..." (Philippians chapter 1 verse 20)

The greatest favor you can do to yourself is to be optimistic and full of hope. The world is full of darkness; which darkness portends evil, sorrow, disappointment, and what have you. That this is what the world has to offer is not new to the child of God! Indeed, nothing better is expected of the world system in which we find ourselves.

Yet, in the midst of these, God gave hope to man through Jesus, His Son. He is the Light of the world (John chapter 8 verse 12, chapter 9 verse 5 and chapter 12 verse 46). He is the hope of man! Whoever that believes in Him shall not be ashamed (Romans chapter 9 verse 33). The hope that God has given to us in Christ is "hope that maketh not ashamed" (Romans chapter 5 verse 5) because it is of God who cannot lie, neither is there deception in Him. For us the meaning of this is that we should consider shame to be as far as the East is to the West and as Heaven is far from the Earth. This is our beautiful lot in Christ Jesus. Glory to God!

Our Bible text says that our expectation, whatever it be, should be flavored with earnesty. Let your hope be to the very end, friend and you will be amazed at what God will do in your life! Consider the case of the Caterpillar. Just when it seemed that its life was over, God caused it to metamorphose (change) into a beautiful butterfly! What a moment from God!

The same testimony awaits you as you hope and trust in Jehovah-God to the very end, in Jesus name.

PRAYER:

Dearest Heavenly Father, you have given me hope, through your Son Jesus Christ. That being so, I know that I shall not be ashamed, in Jesus name
