A DIFFERENT ATMOSPHERE OF GRACE [Part 3]

 SONG

I'm not alone ooo

In all my journey

JESUS is with me

I am not alone.

TEXT

"When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people; He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes; Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm." - Ps.105:13-15

"And as they journeyed, a terror from God fell upon the cities that were around them, so that they did not pursue the sons of Jacob." - Gen.35:5.

The atmosphere of grace is ever and will always be with the covenant children of God. This is what differentiates them from every other one out there.

From our Scripture reading for today, we hear that:

"When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people; He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes; Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm."

The God of Israel, Who is also our God, did not allow any evil whatsoever to come upon His children while they were on their journey through the wilderness unto the promised land. "He rebuked kings for their sakes, Saying Touch, not my....". The Lord upheld Israel as His people. So He does with us, even now.

The book of Gen.35:5 tells us of another occasion when the Lord proved Himself the Lord God of Jacob! "And as they journeyed, a terror from God fell upon the cities that were around them, so that they did not pursue the sons of Jacob."  Despite the fact that the children of Jacob, who was also known as Israel were few in number, as they journeyed from Shechem to Bethel, the Bible says the neighboring nations were afraid of them. Yes,"a terror from God fell upon the cities that were around them, so that they did not pursue the sons of Jacob ". This was the Lord's doing! It was not a question of number but of the abiding presence of God.

You and I are children of the new covenant. We are under a more superior atmosphere of grace. By the reason of what Christ has done, we stand in a better position to enjoy His divine presence and providence, much more than the saints of old. God will not fail us in any area as we journey in life, until He brings us safely to our land of promise. Hallelujah! In addition to protecting us, He will instruct and provide for us also.

"You sent your good Spirit to instruct them, and you did not stop giving them bread from heaven or water for their thirst." Neh.9:20 -21[NLT]

God showed Himself strong on behalf of the people of Israel. He sent His good Spirit to instruct them and also gave them food and water. Food and water were usually not readily available products in the wilderness, yet God made them available for His children.

God can not and will never change. He will take good care of us and nurture us. His presence is with, and about us, today and forevermore, to make us the evidence of His love and grace in this world that is full of ups and downs. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Thank You Heavenly Father for Your ever abiding presence. I am forever a winner in Jesus' name.
