CALLED ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE AND GRACE.

SONG

When He calls me,

I will answer

When He calls me,

I will answer

When He calls me,

I will answer

I'll be somewhere working for my Lord

TEXT

"Who hath saved us and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began. But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:" -2 Timothy 1:9-10

The calling of God upon any believer is not according to his or her will, but according to God's own purpose for that believer's life and by God's own grace.

This grace is imbedded, that is found only in Christ Jesus and is obtainable through faith in the Gospel.

From the above Scripture, we've seen, that grace comes with a purpose and for a purpose as well!

The grace of God reached Paul with a purpose:

"But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee," - Acts  26:16-17.

Apostle Paul was initially a persecutor to the body of Christ and also a murderer. He consented to the killing of Deacon Stephen. As he was on a mission to bring more havoc upon the Church, the grace of God found and set him apart for a purpose. The singular purpose was to take the Gospel to the Gentiles. Paul never knew that purpose, he never prayed for it, but grace found him and positioned him on the course.

Another example was Moses. He was born to die according to the decree of that time, he was to be thrown into the River Nile, but at the bank of the same river, grace found him for the purpose for which he was originally created.

The Bible says in the book Titus 2:11

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men.

This gospel of GRACE BRINGS SALVATION; ie, salvation from sin and wrath, from death and hell. The doctrine of grace and salvation by the Gospel is for all ranks and conditions of men, be you a slave, servant or master. Therefore, we engage and encourage all men to receive it, believe it and walk in it so as to enjoy all its blessedness.

The grace of God works for good to them who are called according to His purpose and for the fulfilment of that purpose.

You were created for a purpose and the grace of God has been deposited  in you for the fulfilment of that purpose.

Grace promotes and grace lifts. It’ll take you from where you are right now to your next and higher level, as it did with Moses and Apostle Paul.

Praise the Lord!

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, thank you for the grace that has been made available unto me for the fulfilment of the purpose for which you created me, in Jesus name.
