MERCY AVAILABLE AT HIS THRONE OF GRACE.

SONG .

Leave it there, leave it there.

Take your problems to the Lord and leave it there.

He will surely deliver you, as you put your trust in Him.

Take your problems to the Lord and leave it there.

TEXT

"Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." - Hebrews  4:16.

It is quite astonishing that you and I can approach the Creator of the universe with confidence and boldness. Of course, we must be respectful but we do not need to be timid or fearful. How is this possible?

As the writer of the Book of Hebrews introduces the central theme of his letter, the High Priesthood of Jesus, he makes the point that the main purpose of his letter is to encourage us to ‘hold firmly to the faith we profess’ (Heb 4:14). Learning more about Who Jesus is enables us to stand firm in our faith through the storms and temptations of life.

Jesus is Unique! The Great High Priest is both ‘the Son of God’ (Heb.4:14) and fully Human. He is able to sympathize with our weaknesses as He ‘has been tempted in every way, just as we are – yet was without sin’ (Heb.4:15).

Jesus had all the same feelings we have. There were times when He felt like doing the wrong thing, but always chose to do the right thing. As you speak to Him in prayer, it may interest you to know that He knows how you are feeling.

In a challenging situation what do we do? In fact, you are I do not need to suffer anymore, we just need to boldly approach God’s throne regarding whatsoever the situation might be.

The way to handle troubles is discovered on our knees. The heavenly Father waits for us to approach His throne through prayer, gain His divine perspective, and receive instruction on how to proceed.

In our prayer time, we can discover what the Lord had planned for us and move forward in faith. When we eventually agree to God's course we will surely experience His peace in our lives.

"But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul." - Deuteronomy  4:29.

"And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever." - 1 Chronicles  28:9.

When we humbly seek the Lord through prayer, we invite Him to take the lead in our situation and to accomplish His plan for us.

He may direct us in ways that surprises us, but they will be for our good and to His glory.

In fact, it is very advisable not to argue with God or to defend oneself. Our part is to pray. It may be hard to be silent, but better trust Him, follow His lead, and watch Him resolve the situation.

I have always believed one thing, that whatsoever is committed into the Hand of God is usually safe and secured. Hallelujah.

"Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass." - Psalms  37:5

PRAYER

Thank you Heavenly Father for the privilege given to me, to always approach your throne of grace and obtain mercy.  All glory be yours Father, in Jesus mighty name. 🙏
