YES! GIVE THANKS

O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. - Psalm 105:1 KJV

Many a time, we find it difficult to thank God. It is most difficult to thank God, especially when things seem to speak negative. Situations sometimes speak louder than what God has done, is doing and will do for us. That is, there is bleakness all around. It becomes therefore just difficult to see a reason to thank God.

The psalmist call us to:

  1. Call on His name, or proclaim God's greatness. When we see beyond our present predicament, we can declare that God is Great. Doing that belittles our current challenges and makes God bigger. The more we see God's greatness in our situation, the less we get discouraged by the situation.
  2. Make known His deeds among the people. Testify to what He has done is uplifting. It makes other people see God as bigger than all the mountains. Yes, our testimony can deliver someone from his/ her problems. Our testimony among the people projects God as being in charge. Satan can never be! Praise God. Declare his marvelous works among the nations.

We belong to Him and we should be glad that we are. This becomes the cause for our singing to Him. We can go to Him for help and keep worshipping continually. We see what He's done, we cannot but worship Him ceaselessly.

So, proclaim God's greatness today to anyone and everyone. How can you do that?

  1. I will make a list of the way God has shown me his unending love.
  2. I will reflect on situations where God has shown me His power and provision.
  3. I will celebrate what God has done for me by sharing it with others.

PRAYER

LORD GOD, I THANK YOU FOR YOUR MERCY AND YOUR LOVE TO ME. THOUGH SOMETIMES I DON'T SEE OR FEEL TO THANK YOU BUT I KNOW YOU ARE THERE AND HAVE DONE MORE THAN I  EXPECT.

YOU ARE BIGGER THAN ALL MY PROBLEM. THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR DELIVERANCES, IN JESUS MIGHTY NAME, AMEN.
