TESTIMONY
"For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe." (1st Thessalonians chapter 2 verse 13, King James Version).
Yes, the Word of God works! The New International Version puts the verse for the day as follows:
"And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe."
Here, we have the Bible testifying to its own veracity and truth, not requiring any other external disquisition to prove its worth. First, we have it stated that the Bible is not a mere "human word, but as it actually is, the word of God". To me , this settles the matter altogether. If the Bible is God's Word, it follows that it is worth being heeded to by all, including the devil. In other words, it is not impugnable and whatever it says is final in every respect. Second, and very important, the Bible says that God's Word is at work in them that received and accepted it as such because they believed it.
As it relates to sicknesses, infirmities and diseases, God's Word is a statement of fact as to the truth of what the Lord has done for the Church. That being so, it behooves you to give heed to it, receive and accept it as the final authority as regards sickness and infirmity. Having proved that satan is the originator of sickness and infirmity, the Scriptures calls on us to stand against his wiles, to resist him steadfast in the faith (see Ephesians 6 verse 11, James chapter 4 verse 7 and 1st Peter chapter 5 verse 9).
Satan has no right to lay on you what the Father has already laid on Jesus Christ for you. The Scriptures affirm that Jesus took your infirmities, bore your sicknesses and that by His Stripes you were healed (see Matthew chapter 8 verse 17 and 2nd Peter chapter 2 verse 24) Sickness therefore should never be tolerated by the child of God. We are to stand upon the Word of God until sickness is completely rooted out of our mortal bodies.
Some time ago, I went through surgery to remove a growth on my toe. Soon thereafter, the Doctor discovered that my blood pressure had radically shot up to a very dangerous level. Consequently, he placed me on drugs to control it. Right within me, I knew that the devil was trying to mess me up. For a considerable period, I was under this yoke, but all through, my knowledge of God's Word kept me from being defeated.
All through, I remained resolute that as the Lord had restored the health of others in my ministry through the Word, I was equally going to see the devil discomfited in my case. I swung into action, stopped the drugs, made a catalog of Scriptures on healing and began to confess them. See these Scriptures in my part 1 to part 10 of our devotionals titled "MEMORIZE AND CONFESS THESE SCRIPTURES AT LEAST THREE TIMES DAILY FOR YOUR MIRACULOUS HEALING" which we began to publish beginning from February 11, 2024 to February 26, 2024.
To the Lord be all glory, my health was completely restored and it has remained so. The Doctor, upon seeing what had happened to me was speechless until I told him that I had stood on God's Word upon my case. I confessed those Scriptures three times daily, as if I was taking my Doctor's prescriptions.
The same testimony awaits anyone that will dare to believe God and stand upon His unfailing Word! Hallelujah!
