NO TRIAL, NO TESTIMONY.

SONG

Jesus never fails, Jesus never fails.

The man of the world may let you down but Jesus never fails.

TEXT

"My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience." - James  1:2 -3

Sometimes, we can't understand the reason why a loving Heavenly Father allows His children to go through terrible trials and pains. It can be a common baffling thought, when the all-powerful and loving Father seem to stand by, while painful things happen to His children.

 We seldom ask these questions:

Where is God when all these and that are happening, am I not His child, am I not doing all that is expected of me? Where have I gone wrong?

Instead ofl these questions, at this point in time, what's required is to turn to the Word of God. This is the only place we can find the answers to our questions.

Let us look at our today’s reading,

"My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience." - James  1:2-3.

It can be very hard to understand or to accept, unless we understand God’s perspective of what life is all about. James spoke of joy, which is that inner sense of calmness, peace, and confidence in the Lord.  Actually James was trying to make us to understand that when we pass through trials we should know that God is up to something good and better in our life. Our disposition during the struggle will determine what shape we will be when we eventually come out at the end of it all.

When our faith gets tested, the result is not to our detriment, rather it is to the end that God’s glory might be made manifest. Being aware of this gives us hope and strength. What’s more, the Bible promises God will use trials for our good, "Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience." So we don’t need to be afraid or anxious. God’s desire is to bless you, not to destroy you.

When adversity comes, do not see yourself as a victim, but a victor, knowing who you are in Christ Jesus and what He has done for you.

"I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” - John 16:33

PRAYER

Thank you Everlasting Father for the victory You have wrought for me in Christ Jesus. I can never be disadvantaged, in Jesus' mighty name.
