NEVER GIVE UP ON GOD'S WORD TO YOU.(PART 1)

"... my word ... that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." - Isaiah 55:11 (KJV).

God's Word is actually what it is. God is Truth and so is His Word. Asides being a revelation from God to us, God's Word is actually God speaking to us. The Bible is a book of the past and a book of the future; it's also a book of now. God's Word is God- breathed, God-indwelt, and God-inspired message to us in regards to our state in life.

The Word of God is awesomely reliable because the Lord has said that He will hasten His word to perform it. (Jer 1:12). According to our opening Bible verse, the Lord declares:

"... my word ... that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." - Isaiah 55:11 (KJV).

Although God's Word works effectively for those that believe it, it's important to point out in addition that you have to receive it as God's Word and not the word of mere men (1Thess 2:13).

It will amaze you to know that although God's Word is infallible, it's required that you believe it and keep your hold on it, in spite of whatever else you see to the contrary. This is where many Christians fail. Many have the tendency to give up once they don't see God's Word fulfilled at the time of their expectation. Those that do so show their unbelief and distrust of God. It is a flagrant display of ignorance and the lack of the knowledge of God.

One of the great pillars on which God's Word rests is that God is honest and cannot lie ( Tit 1:2; Num. 23:19; 2 Tim. 2:13; Heb. 6:18; 2Cor 1:18,20; Ps 119:89-92). There is absolutely no reason for doubting God. That being so, the only course open to us as believers when we face delay is to wait for Him to do as He promised. God told Habakkuk saying,

"For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry." (Habakkuk 2:3).

So, what you do during moments of delay, in spite of having heard from God, is to wait and keep praying! It depicts faith. It's a grave mistake to give up as many of us do. Look at Elijah: he prayed and waited for rains despite God's Word to him that he was sending abundance of rain. He didn't rest on his oars, but prayed and waited for the manifestation of God's Word. As he prayed, he was on the lookout for rain, which showed no sign until the servant went the seventh time (1 Kings 18:1,41-45)

So therefore, never give up on God's Word to you! It's been packaged to be fulfilled if you don't give up.

PRAYER:

Dear Heavenly Father, in fervent trust and confidence in You, I refuse to give up on Your Word to me, in Jesus name
