JESUS, THE SAME YESTERDAY, TODAY AND FOREVER MORE.
SONG
You are the same yesterday, today and forever, nobody is like You.
You never change, yesterday, today and forever
Nobody loves me like You.
I worship You, I worship You, You are the living God.
TEXT
"Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever." - Hebrews 13:8
"For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed." - Malachi 3:6.
It is Jesus Christ, and He alone, who is also enduring and unchanging, “the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
Both Malachi 3:6 and Hebrews 13:8 declare that God is the same always and never ever changes. He is always good, always loving, always all-powerful. No matter how this world changes around us, we can trust that God is consistent. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever!
God is unchanging, but we, as humans, do change. We grow in the good things and grow in the things that are not so good, so to say. When man fell in the Garden of Eden, sin came into the world, and the world has never remained the same. The dictates of the world have become our immediate influence than God and His Word.
Overall, what really matters is knowing that even though we are changing, Jesus never changes, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8).
Jesus is the very God of creation. He created all things and He's the Power that holds all things together. He is ever on the throne, controlling the affairs of the entire world.
We won’t really know if Jesus is the same if we continue to let our lives control us. How can we know that Jesus is enough for us? It is by giving to Him total control over our lives and all that concerns us.
Jesus is the Word of God.
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.... John 1:1-5
God made all things by Him (Jesus). By the spoken Word all things were created. Nothing was made that was not made by Him.
No one came in contact with Him and remained the same, both in the time of old and even up till now.
The woman with the issue of blood met with Jesus and she never remained the same. "And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched." - Luke.8.43 - 44
The widow of Nain met with Jesus and she received her miracle. Her dead son came back to life. "....The dead man sat up and began to talk, and Jesus gave him back to his mother." - Luke 7:12-15
The same Jesus went to the cross and died for you and I and resurrected from death to life and lives forever more. Hallelujah!
He changeth not, what He did yesterday He is able to do again and again for you and I.
PRAYER
There can never be shame in my life because l have Jesus; even as it was in the case of the wedding at Canaan of Galilee, so it is with me, in Jesus' mighty name.
