GOD IS ABLE TO RESTORE THE YEARS.

SONG

He is able,

Abundantly able

To deliver and to save

Our God is able

Abundantly able

To deliver, those who trust in Him.

TEXT

"And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you..."

Joel chapter 2 verses 25 to 27

Many of us may be looking back, wondering how the year is almost ending, seeing that it's just two more months for the year to come to a close. The days, weeks and months of the year were so fast that some people cannot not really say this or that is what they have achieved so far. This might be so in spite of the fact that they have done their best to live their lives to honor God, knowing that we live in a fallen world.

Today, people face different kinds of situations such as economic hardship, illness and other personal issues, too numerous to mention. Yet, Jesus spoke in John chapter 16 verse 33 saying, "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."

In the midst of all these, so many of us sometimes feel like they’ve lost time and missed opportunities. It is a very natural thing to struggle with feelings as if we’ve walked through the year with disappointments and pains. Many have concluded their stories by tagging God as not being able to help them through the stuff. They have zeroed it down that it's just too messy or too difficult and that there is no possible remedy to their situation.

I write this morning to assure you that God, in His mercy, has promised to repay for the years that have been wasted. Hear Him:

"I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten. You will have plenty...and you will praise the name of the Lord your God, who has worked wonders for you; never again will my people be shamed. Then you will know...that I am the Lord your God, and that there is no other." (Joel chapter 2 verses 25 to 27)

Sometimes we are too quick to make conclusions, forgetting  that our time zone is not the same as God's. God has His time and we have our time, but the Bible says that "He hath made everything beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end." (Ecclesiastes chapter 3 verse 11)

Cheer up beloved, don't give up now. Believe God. Just as He promised, God is restoring the wasted times and years and is at the same time making everything beautiful in an extraordinary way for you, in Jesus name.

PRAYER

Thank You Heavenly Father for restoring all my wasted years and making my life better than what it had been before, in Jesus' Mighty name.
