YOU CAN REFRAME YOUR WORLD! (PART 2)
TEXT:
"... the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." (John 6 verse 63, King James Version)
In the first part in this series, we noted that God created all things by His Word. It is equally pertinent to be aware of the fact that God's Word is God Himself. Just as it is impossible to separate a man from his word, so it is with God and His Word. In law, no matter the force of your dissension, a man is held accountable for his word. So it is with God. The Bible clearly says in John 1 verses 1 to 3 that "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made."
God's Word is loaded with creative power. This is because His Word is "spirit and life" (John 6 verse 63). Scriptures affirm that by His Word, God created all things (see Colossians 1 verse 16). We have a good example of God's Word at work at the creation account in the Book of Genesis. At creation, God spoke to change what existed to become what He desired to see exist.
"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. ... And God said, Let there be light: and there was light." (Genesis 1 verses 1 to 3).
As we have in Hebrews 11 verse 3, the Word of God is given to us as the material with which to frame our world. It is potently loaded to produce what it talks about (see Hebrews 4 verse 12, Isaiah 55 verse 11). In Isaiah 55 verse 11, God has said that His Word will not return to Him void but will accomplish that which He pleases and prosper in the things where unto it is sent. Any wonder that the Virgin Mary became conceived by the Word of the angel? What we need to understand is that every creature of God whether living or nonliving is commanded to hear His Word (see Matthew 17 verse 5)
This is very significant because it carries along with it a decree commanding all, whether in heaven, on earth and all below the earth to hear Him (God's Word). Angels are commanded to obey Him, so do demons, men and every of God’s creatures. In the same vein, beginning from the day you became born again, this command works for you. All of God’s creatures (living or nonliving) listens to you.
So therefore, God's Word in our mouths becomes a trusted material with which we can frame our world into whatsoever form we may wish. After all, the things we see, things of the senses are temporal, that is, subject to change (2nd Cor 4 verse 18).
As believers, let's learn to give ourselves to speaking God's Word, let's learn to align or frame our world or lives with it as God did because according to our Scripture reading for today, "they are spirit, and they are life". Was this not part of the reasons why Abraham was called the father of faith? The Bible says that he called those things that be not as though they were (Romans 4 verse 17); which is akin to how God framed the worlds by His Word, "so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear" (Hebrews 11 verse 3)
PRAYER:
Henceforth Lord, with Your Word on my lips, I reframe my world, in Jesus name.
