TEXT
"And the woman conceived, and bare a son: and when she saw him that he was a goodly child, she hid him three months." - Exod.2.2
A born again child of God is not an ordinary child; that is, he or she is not like any other child out there, but a very special one. There is usually a mark of ownership by the Lord on every born again child of God. God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ takes special interest in such a one, because he or she is born of the Spirit. The Bible says that
"The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit." - John 3:8.
Our lives as born again children of God are characterized by mysteries and signs and wonders.
Moses was born at the time that boy children were thrown into the River Nile. Thank God for the mother of Moses who was not a careless mother as we have in our society today. She was able to discern that her son was a special child and did not deserve to die like other children.
Because of the mark of God’s ownership on Moses and for the special purpose that he was created, he did not suffer like others. The grace of God found Moses out even in the very place where other children's fate were determined. He was saved and nurtured in the house of the man that determined the fate of the other children. What a child Moses was!
God preserved his destiny by tailoring it to the very end.
A child of destiny bears the mark of victory, no matter what is happening around such a child. Even so our God has given us a victorious life to live, all we need to do is to receive it. It's a good thing to remember that we are created to overcome. There is victory already in store for our future. Let us stand strong with the attitude of victors and watch what God will do on our behalf! In other words, we are expected to live out our lives from the position of victory. Hallelujah!
Still on the matter of Moses, he encountered the bush that was burning but was not consumed.
"There the angel of the LORD appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up." - Exodus 3:2.
As children of destiny, the challenges around us will never swallow us up, especially what we are passing through in our country today; rather we will emerge better and stronger, in Jesus' mighty name.
Another example is that of the three Hebrew boys who came out of the furnace of fire unscashed.
"And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them." - Dan.3.27
No matter what is happening around the world, we are not disadvantaged because we are carriers of a different atmosphere.
The holy spirit differentiates us from others and makes us win in all areas.
Jesus has conquered every single battle of our lives and has handed us the victory. He said to us to occupy till He comes. We are to live our lives enforcing the victory of Jesus. We are to put the devil and his agents where they belong.
Too often, we get carried away by what we see and hear, forgetting what Christ has done and made of us.
Whatever we choose to focus on or occupy our minds with is what we will see made manifest in our lives. We've got to change our mind set by dwelling on the promises of God concerning us in Christ and thereby keep our hopes alive in the midst of adversity.
PRAYER
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for making me a child of destiny. By your unending grace upon me, I am fulfilling the purpose for which You created me in the Mighty name of Jesus.
