TOGETHERNESS IN FELLOWSHIP. [Part 3]

SONG

Bind us together, LORD

Bind us together with cords that can not be broken

Bind us together, LORD

Bind us together, LORD

Bind us together with love

TEXT

"A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another." -

John 13:34-35.

We can not draw the curtain on the topic; TOGETHERNESS IN FELLOWSHIP without talking about love, which I believe is the main Pilar that holds the Body of Christ together.

The Christian love constrains us to prefer others to ourselves and also to do good to others at any time or whenever the opportunity comes. This is the summary of what Jesus came to do. He gave His life for  others, that is you and I. Hallelujah!

We live in a world that is terribly darkened by hate, racism, injustice, greed, selfishness, and self-centeredness.

Our show of genuine love will bring about a sense of belonging, hope, and care, and also, it will serve to brighten the corner wherever we find ourselves. In other words, once there is love, hatred will disappear. Criticism will go. This kind of love is not the one we show just once, and that's all. It is the kind to be put on as a garment all the time which allows us to influence our dealings with other people irrespective of who they are.

Living under the grace and liberty of our Lord Jesus Christ empowers humanity first to love God and then to love one another.

“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.” -  John 13:34,

The Bible commands that we share love amongst ourselves as members of the Body of Christ. We have to guide against people trying to create dislike within the Body. We must also not entertain anything that’ll make us feel bitter or enraged towards someone else. Rather, we are to walk in love and inspire others to love as well. Jesus said, “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another” (John 13:35).

The grace to express the love of God has graciously been given to us  or made available to every child of God.  “…the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” (Romans 5:5).

The love that brought Jesus down has been shed abroad our hearts by the Holy Ghost.

Walking in love reveals the perfection of your spirit and person. This is expected to reflect in every area of our lives. Our speech and actions must be a true definition of God's love.

PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father, You've shed abroad our hearts the love of Christ. We receive grace to administer it to all and sundry, in Jesus' Mighty name.
