THE WORD OF GOD IS QUICK AND POWERFUL.

SONG

Your Word is yea and amen

I found it yea and amen

TEXT:

"For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." (Hebrews chapter 4 verse 12).

The word of God is a trusted material to build our lives and to frame our world.

Many of the difficulties we experience as Christians can be traced to lack of enough of the Word of God in our spirits. We should not be content to skim through the chapters of the Bible just for the fun of it or merely to satisfy our consciences. We have to read, study, memorize, meditate and do the Word. Having the Word of God in our hearts is a great virtue. A little portion of the Word well digested is of greater value to the soul than a lengthy portion scanned through hurriedly.

There is a difference between the Word of God in your spirit and the Word in your head. That's why God told Joshua to meditate upon the Word. According to Joshua chapter 1 verse 8, "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success."

Notice what the Word says, "...for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success."  Our meditation on and observance of the Word is what makes us prosper and have good success.

The Word of God in the mouth of God's people enables them to counter the incursions of the enemy into their lives. With the Word of God in our spirits, we are not short changed because we know what to do to alter events and cause things to align with God’s perfect will!

The Word is capable of directing the course of our lives and also the world at large. For instance, when leaders of the world or industries and others stand up against the body of Christ, we have the right answer for them. The book of

Deuteronomy chapter 30 verse 14 says, "But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it."

By the prophetic Word we utter under the unction of the Holy Spirit that’s in us, we're able to counter every curse, break every chain, and destroy every form of bondage in our lives. In other words, through our prophetic declaration, we make things right in our lives, in our home, in our ministries, jobs, businesses, cities, and nations. Hallelujah!

One thing is certain, no power or any earthly circumstances can stand against the fulfillment of God's Word if we look steadfastly at the inerrant Word of God, taking our eyes off the uncertainties of the ever-changing world.

God wants us to believe and act upon His Word without other confirmation, then we would see Him manifesting Himself in our lives.

 PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your Word unto me. It is life unto my spirit, in Jesus' Mighty name.
