THE LIFE THAT WINS ALWAYS (Part 2)

SONG

Holy Ghost, do it again.

Do it again in my life

Open my eyes to see Jesus.

Seated upon the Throne

TEXT

"Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts." - Zech.4.6.

The Bible clearly tells us that we can only win by the Spirit of God, not by our own strength.

What actually determines and defines our success and victory in life is the impact of Spirit of God in us. Without this third Person in the Holy Trinity, creation was not possible. "And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." - Gen.1.2.

Jesus also enjoined the disciples to wait in Jerusalem until they were endued with Power from on High before venturing into the ministry.

"And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high." - Luke.24.49.

The Lord knew the impact that the ministry of the Holy Spirit would have on the disciples' ministry. Likewise, if we truly want to experience victory in our lives, we must do the needful. It's only through walking in the power of the Holy Spirit that godliness and the much desired life of success can be achieved.

Taking a look at the Old Testament, God's Spirit would temporarily come upon the great men of old for a particular work. But in the new Testament Jesus, before He ascended to heaven, Had promised to send another Comforter. Thereupon, He sent the Holy Spirit to dwell permanently within each believer.

"And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;" ,- John.14.16.

Consider what this means: we are believers having God living on the inside of us, helping us all through our lives by providing for us  guidance, comfort, and empowerment.

How can we ever be defeated by any power? It's just not possible.

For some reasons, many times we try to live our lives by depending on our own energy and reasoning; this can not produce the victorious life that we have so dearly sought for. Defeat and failure are unavoidable without His power in our lives.

Do you recognize the need for the Holy Spirit in your life? Begin each day confessing your dependence on Him. Ask to be filled with Him, so that all you think, do, and say will be an overflow from Him. Then trust Him to work in mighty ways through you. Then you will be amazed how victorious your life will be. Shalom!

PRAYER.

Dear Heavenly Father, I'm grateful for the gift of the Holy Spirit. He is my Helper and by His presence in my life, I win everyday in Jesus Mighty name.
