REST FROM YOUR LABOUR
"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." - Matt 11:28 (KJV).
What a wonderful call by the Lord, to which is attached a beautiful promise. He said "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." The Scripture is emphatic about satan being the author and the source of death, sorrow, pain and what have you. Conversely, the same Scripture has told us that Jesus brought us Life; infact, He brought us abundant Life. In the Book of Jn 10:10, the Lord Jesus averred saying:
"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."
Here, we have Jesus as the Life Giver, while satan is identified as the life taker. The Devil only comes into our lives to take life and to destroy it. Through his subtlety and deceptive acts, he comes to steal the blessings and the provisions of God. He comes to kill us physically and to destroy us eternally.
On the other hand, Jesus came to do the exact opposite: He came that we may have life and that we may have it to the full.
Actually, the choice is ours; it's either we receive Jesus into our lives or we permit the Devil to have a place in our lives. Whichever the case may be, there are consequences that follow. In the battle of life, I have discovered that there's no demilitarized zone. The choice of the devil by anyone portends death, sorrow, pain, disappointment, etc, because as a thief, he "cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:" On the other hand, the choice of Jesus guarantees life, fulfillment, peace, joy, etc. This is so because He came that we might have life, and that we might have it more abundantly.
The Lord's invitation that those who labour and are heavy laden should come unto Him so that He could give them rest (Matt 11:28) is a follow up on His being the Life Giver, in contradistinction to the devil being the life taker (Jn 10:10)
As we take heed to Jesus' call to come unto Him, He will give us rest from every form of satanic oppressions and bondages in Jesus name.
It doesn't matter what you have been going through! Be it sickness, failure, frustration, demonic manipulation and oppression, effects of ancestral curses, inherited curses, untimely death in family, late marriage in family, addiction to sin or substances of whatever kind, etc, I command deliverance and liberty upon you now in Jesus name.
PRAYER:
Dear Lord Jesus, I come unto You, I make You my Lord and Savior. Father, I receive rest from every satanic oppressions in my life, in Jesus name.
