REMAIN IN CHRIST

TEXT: 2 Timothy2:19

"Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity."

You will do yourself a favor as you run the Christian race, to realize that we are in the end times; which presupposes that all sort of things, contrary to expectation will happen - 2 Tim 3:1-9. Indeed today, we are witnesses to these despicable acts of wickedness all over the place.

Yet the book of 2 Timothy chapter 2 verse 19 tells us that "Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are His, And let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity".

The happenings of this end times are of such a horrendous magnitude that the hearts of many fail, asking the Lord so many questions. But we take solace in the fact that these happenings have been prophesied as events that will characterise the end times. Nonetheless, "the Lord knoweth them that are His, …". The question to answer is: does He know you as His? If so, you have nothing to fear. All through the Bible days, the Lord carved for Himself the reputation of faithfully caring for His own! So He is till now, He hasn't changed - Mal 3:6; Heb 13:8. Your responsibility and mine is to take heed to His admonition: "And let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity." - 2 Tim 2:19. This is basically how to remain true to the Lord, if you seek Him to be true to you in your affairs!

Though you may have heard of people, well respected people of faith, turning away from the truth or having turned away from Jesus; don't be troubled thereby, for "the foundation of God standeth sure..." Their having made a shipwreck of their faith doesn't change God, neither has it changed His promises or His standards! Don't follow their example, but you strive to be true to the end and the Holy Spirit will help you, in Jesus name.

        Have a glorious day!
