THE JOY OF CENTERING OUR LIVES IN JESUS.
SONG : Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me. Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me. Break me, mold me fill me and use me. Spirit of the living God fall afresh on me.
TEXT :Jeremiah 18:3, Isaiah 64:8
"Then I went down to the potter's house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels."
Jeremiah 18:3
" But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy Hand" . Isaiah 64:8
Centering our lives in Jesus Christ and His Gospel will bring stability and happiness to our lives, as the following examples illustrate:
The world in which we live is similar to the potter’s spinning wheel. As long as the clay is at the centre of the Potter's wheel, there is no problems as per the result of the vessel but otherwise the vessel will have problems.
Like the clay on the potter’s wheel, we must be centered as well in Christ Jesus. Our core, the center of our lives, must be Jesus Christ and His gospel.
Our lives must be centered with exactness in Christ if we are to find true joy and peace in this life. In other words, if we are to have fulfilled lives, we must make the LORD JESUS our focal point, our nucleus and our core. There are no two ways about it.
JESUS is the number One, without Him, we are nothing and we can do nothing. He is the Center that holds everything together.
Col.1.17 - "And he is before all things, and by him all things consist".
JESUS existed before everything else began, and He holds all creations together.
If our lives are centered in Jesus Christ, He can successfully mold us into who He wants us to be, in order to be fit to return to His and Heavenly Father’s presence in the celestial kingdom.
The joy and fulfilments we experience in this life will be in direct proportion to how well our lives are centered on the teachings of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Living a Christ-centered life means we learn about Jesus Christ and His Gospel and then we follow His example and keep His commandments with exactness.
The world in which we live is putting great pressure on good people everywhere to lower or even abandon their standards of righteous living. However, despite the evils and temptations that surround us each day, we can and will find true joy today in living a Christ-centered life
PRAYER
Thank you Lord Jesus, for in you I live, move and have my being. I surrender totally to you to make me what you want me to be in Jesus name. 🙏 🙏🙏
