REMAIN CONFIDENT AT ALL TIMES
TEXT: Hebrews 10:35-36
" Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise" (Hebrews 10:35-36)
What a scripture to hear, consider and to do! This scripture couldn't be more relevant at a time when men are in such a hurry: that it's either it happens now or never; and if it doesn't happen, then, forget it! No, no, no! A THOUSAND TIMES NO! Don't ever do that! Only fools and men without understanding will throw in their towels when they think or feel that things are not working right.
Hear what the Bible says:- Confidence in God, in yourself and in what you do has a great recompense of reward. To be rewarded accordingly, you need patience, that after you have done the will of God, you might receive the promise (Hebrews 10:35-36). From this scripture, we understand that doing God's will is no guarantee of immediate recompense of reward by God; much less when you have not done His will! In other words, if those that do His will have to be patient in order to receive His reward, what will be the lot of them that have not done His will? Think about it!
It is important that in our waiting on God for reward that we remain steadfast in our faith, for, Abraham, the Bible says, "staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strong in faith, giving glory to God" (Rom 4:20). Though all seemed odd and inconsistent with God's promise to him, yet, he held on, knowing and fully persuaded that what God had promised, He was able to perform (Rom 4:21)
Let me close by quoting Marcus T Cicero on the need for confidence: " If you have no confidence in self, you are twice defeated in the race of life. With confidence, you have won even before you have started" So, so, so true!
Have a blessed day!
