REJOICE BECAUSE YOUR HELP HAS COME!
TEXT:
"Therefore thus saith the Lord; I am returned to Jerusalem with mercies: ... My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad, and the Lord shall yet comfort Zion ... " (Zechariah 1 verses 16 to 17, King James Version)
There are times that you have asked yourself the question of how long you might have to bear with what you're going through in life. At a time, Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah were in Babylonian captivity for 70 years and it was as though God had forgotten about them. The angel of the LORD had become worried and had to ask:
"O LORD of hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which thou hast had indignation these threescore and ten years?" (Zechariah 1 verse 12).
The Lord responded with good and comfortable words! (Zechariah 1 verses 13 to 17). In the same vein, dear child of God, begin to see great things in store for you because your God has arisen for you. Your deliverance has come in Jesus name.
Though the rod of the wicked might have fallen upon your lot, God's jealousy for you will not permit it to continue to rest in Jesus name. (Psalms 125 stanza 3). Hear the Lord's Word concerning your case: "I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy. ... I am returned to Jerusalem with mercies: ... My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad, and the Lord shall yet comfort Zion ... " (Zechariah 1 verses 14 to 17).
Shout for joy dear child of God, for you are testifying very soon because your God has come to your rescue, contending with the mighty forces that contend with you and have held you captive (Isaiah 49 verses 24 to 26).
In rescuing you, the Lord will match force with force and will thoroughly discomfit and fray the wicked forces that have fought against you, that have prevented you from rearing up your head (Zechariah 1 verses 18 to 21).
The vision given to the prophet in Zechariah 1 verses 18 to 21 is very insightful because it describes how the Lord determines to effect your deliverance. In the vision given, the prophet saw four terrible horns "which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem. ... so that no man did lift up his head:" Is this not a vivid representation of those wicked powers and forces that had oppressed the child of God? But suddenly, there appeared before him four carpenters that God sent to break those horns in pieces; four carpenters against four horns. What a perfect match! I prophesy that not one of your enemies will escape God's wrath and judgment, in Jesus name.
Understand, dear child of God that God cannot forget you (Isaiah 49 verses 14 to 16). Rejoice because your time of deliverance has come (2nd Corinthians 6 verse 2). What is more, have it settled in you that the battle of your life is the Lord's (1st Samuel 17 verse 47). Stand still therefore and see the salvation of the LORD, because He will fight for you and you'll hold your peace (Exodus 14 verses 13 to 14).
PRAYER:
Lord, I have long waited for this day of my deliverance to come and I'm grateful that it's come. Thank You for stepping in for me, giving me the victory, in Jesus name.
