MEMORIZE AND CONFESS THESE SCRIPTURES AT LEAST THREE TIMES DAILY FOR YOUR MIRACULOUS HEALING. (PART 6)

INTRODUCTION

When we see sickness as it truly is, being an oppression of the enemy, that's when we actually begin the process of taking advantage of our redemption in Christ. It's Scriptural to minister deliverance to the sick because, like I have said, most of what we go through by way of sickness are the handiwork of demons and unclean spirits. The Bible says of "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him." (Acts chapter 10 verse 38).

But let not our quest for deliverance be at the expense of getting the people grounded in the Word of God in order to secure faith in them. This is especially so because of the scary phenomenon of getting people delivered without adequate knowledge of God's Word to enable them to maintain their healing and deliverance from satanic oppression. Jesus Christ our Lord taught about the terrible implication of deliverance without proper grounding on God's Word (see Matthew chapter 12 verses 43 to 45).

Indeed, people can be healed by simply taking advantage of God's Word, by believing and confessing it, that's acting on it for themselves. On the other hand, it's also possible to get healed through the process of the supernatural manifestation of the Spirit of God. But the Bible says that Spiritual manifestations are subject to the will of God (1st Corinthians chapter 12 verse 11). In other words, you may be healed through the supernatural manifestation of God's Spirit in the life of a minister of the Gospel, but this is often subject to God's will.

The Lord may choose to use supernatural manifestations of the Spirit to set people free, or He may not. But reliance on His Word always works. When people know what the Word says and act on it for themselves, they are set free (see John chapter 8 verse 32). That's why it's important to teach people to know and to rely on God's Word to be set free from Satan's oppression and bondage.

By the last part in the series, we have come into yet another dimension of the process towards enjoying divine health. I'm basically referring to what I term the impact of the Holy Spirit in securing divine healing for the child of God.

Having reiterated the importance of believing and confessing God's Word in securing our healing, I wish to stress in addition, particularly in the series to come the role of the Holy Spirit as our Life Giver and the Defender or Protector of our mortal bodies. This brings us to the sixth Scripture for confession in this series. It is contained in the Book of Isaiah chapter 59 verse 19. It reads as follows:

"When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him."

In the King James Version, this verse was wrongly translated when they put a comma immediately after the word "flood". By doing so, they made the enemy more powerful than he actually is. Indeed, the comma should come after the word "in". According to Benny Hinn in his book Good Morning Holy Spirit, "the flood is the Holy Ghost, not the devil." That being said, Isaiah chapter 59 verse 19 should rather read as follows:

"When the enemy shall come in, like a flood the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him."

The implication of this is that the Holy Spirit that tabernacles in us as children of God (see 1st Corinthians chapter 6 verse 19, 2nd Corinthians 6 verse 16) is among other things, in us to watch over our mortal bodies in order to repel and or destroy every satanic or demonic attacks marshaled against us.

The words "like a flood" in Isaiah chapter 59 verse 19 is characteristic of the rich presence of God's Spirit in your life, which will serve to overwhelm and discomfit the enemy who has come into your mortal body with sickness or disease. The verse says that He will lift up a standard against the devil who's come into our mortal bodies with sickness or disease. The Bible affirms elsewhere that the enemy may come in one way, but the presence and the activity of the Holy Spirit in you makes him flee seven ways (see Deuteronomy chapter 28 verse 7) This is wonderful and mind blowing.

Never forget that "greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world" (Ist John chapter 4 verse 4). I can assure you that God will not stand by and allow your body, His house to be ridden with sickness. That, I'm confidently sure of.

Thank God that the Holy Spirit has according to Titus chapter 3 verses 5 to 6 been shed upon us "generously" (New International Version) or "abundantly" (King James Version). In any case, the Spirit of the Lord in us is compared to "Rivers of Living Water" (John chapter 7 verse 38) This represents our baptism in the Holy Spirit. What's more, as we stir Him up in our lives (2nd Timothy chapter 1 verse 6), we can have Him rise up for us "like a flood" against satan and his works in our mortal bodies. The reality is that we need to stir Him up in order to see Him show up for us (2nd Timothy chapter 1 verse 7).

CONFESSION

I am a child of God and the Holy Spirit dwells in me. The Holy Spirit in me watches over my entire body to defend it from sicknesses, infirmities and diseases. Like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord that dwells in me lifts up a standard now against every demon of infirmity causing sickness {name the sickness(s)} in my body, in Jesus name.
