MEMORIZE AND CONFESS THESE SCRIPTURES AT LEAST THREE TIMES DAILY FOR YOUR MIRACULOUS HEALING. (PART 5)
INTRODUCTION
When we share our thoughts on divine healing, what goes on in people's minds most of the time is that it's unattainable. The reason for this is that they do not have the understanding of spiritual matters.
Divine healing is spiritual! Doctors generally agree that while they treat illnesses, it is God that heals. Medical science treats illnesses through the physical body, but God heals through the human spirit. This accounts for why people don't understand it, because it's spiritually discerned.
"But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned" (1st Corinthians chapter 2 verse 14)
Let's take the born again phenomenon as an example. It is something strange to a natural man (see John chapter 3 verse 4). This is so because it's something that affects the human spirit and has nothing to do with the human body. It is basically a rebirth of the human spirit. In the same vein, divine healing is spiritual. Spiritual healing, or divine healing, is received from God in the same way that the new birth, which is a rebirth of the spirit, is received.
For those of us seeking divine healing, Romans chapter 8 verse 2 is the fifth Scripture for confession in this series. It says,
"For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death."
In this verse we see on the one hand the devil’s law, referred to as "the law of sin and death"; and on the other hand we see the law of God’s Kingdom, called "the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus". Here are two kingdoms with their opposing laws in operation. In Colossians chapter 1 verse 13, Apostle Paul, speaking from his own experience, explains: “I am no longer in the devil’s territory, I am not under the devil’s law. His kingdom does not apply to me because I have been transferred to another kingdom. I have been translated, carried over, spirit, soul and body.”
The vital point of note regarding today's Scripture for confession in this series is following:
The law of the devil, referred to as the "law of sin and death" is the begetter or the initiator of sickness and disease in the human body. This is in line with the devil's ministry to steal, to kill and to destroy (see John 10 verse 10). On the other hand, the "law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus" gives life. This is in line with the ministry of its Originator, Jesus Christ, Who came that we might have life and that we might have it more abundantly (see John chapter 10 verse 10).
The moment you become born again, this new "law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus" comes into force in you, supplanting utterly and completely "the law of sin and death" that had functioned in your life prior to the moment you came into Christ. In other words, your life and particularly, your body becomes free, insulated or sequestered from sickness, which is the byproduct of the "law of sin and death". That explains the language of the Scripture to the effect that "the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death."
For the child of God, this new law enables you to overcome sickness and disease, particularly when you believe and confess it. Confessing this Scripture serves to activate for your benefit its power over your life, especially your mortal body.
CONFESSION
Thank You Father because I am in Christ Jesus. As a result of my being in Christ there's a new law currently governing my life and body. It's called the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus. This new Law has made me free from and completely supplanted the law of sin and death that was in me which is responsible for sickness, infirmity and disease. In the name of Jesus Christ, and by the power of the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus at work in me, I command every sickness and disease (mention the name of your sickness) to die and pass out of my body, in Jesus name. I am a new creation in Christ Jesus. I am different from other human beings.
The Holy Spirit that lives in me ministers God's Life to my mortal body. This new God-Life in me cannot be overcome by sickness. No sickness or infirmity can take root in my body as a result. For other human beings, blood is the life of their mortal bodies. As for me, the Holy Spirit that dwells in me is my Life-Giver and is the Life of my mortal body, in Jesus name.
