 "Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God." - James chapter 4 verse 4.

 For humanity, there are two different systems that exist. The system of God and the system of the world. These two systems are on two parallel lines that can never meet. They operate at different levels and with different principles. The former is heavenly, while the latter is earthly.

  Our verse for today has this to say, "know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God."

      Like I said, these two systems are opposed to one another. It is not possible to be a friend to the world and, at the same time, be a friend to God. That's the crux of the Scripture for the day. It says, "know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God." It calls for a decision to be made by you and it's advisable that you choose God.

       God’s standards are ever the same, standing sure and are in stark contrast to the standards of the world, which are ever changing. “Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are His. And, Let everyone that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity” (2 Timothy chapter 2 verse 19).

  The Lord indeed knows them that are His. He knows them by their names, by their faces, and by their deeds. You might be able to deceive your fellow man, but you can not deceive God. He knows you better than anyone else knows you; in fact, better than you know yourself. It's only God that can tell whether you are His true friend or not, because darkness and light are the same to Him.

 The 'b' part of the same 2 Timothy chapter 2 verse 19 says, "Let everyone that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”

Anyone who confesses the name of the Lord Jesus Christ should turn away from iniquity. He must know that he or she is a new creature, with new principles, a new purpose, a new lifestyle, and a new destination. The old life has been done away with and the new life has come. [2 Corinthians chapter 5 verse 17]

   The people of the world must be able to spot the difference between us and them. There should not be any confusion in this matter because our way, beliefs, destinations, and theirs are greatly far apart.

  The devil is doing as much as he can to water down the standard of God in order for men to treat the things of God with levity.

 He uses the cares of the world to distract and hinder us from being true friends of God and at the same time from making it to Heaven.

  So therefore, don't give up, don't give in, hold on, hold out and hold forth. God knows you and He's showing up for you very soon.

PRAYER

 Heavenly Father, I thank You for what You have made of me in Christ Jesus,  I refuse to turn my back on You, in Jesus Mighty name
