LET ALL SEE WHO YOU ARE! (Matt. 5:16)

The Lord Jesus in Matt 5:16 commanded us saying "Let your light so shine, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven". It is so important to let men know your disposition in life, or else, you might be mistaken. Letting men know that you belong to Jesus will serve not only to set you apart from the rottenness that abound in the world, but also serves to show the glory of Jesus in your life.

       We have been saved to do good works.(see Titus 3:1,8,14). Good works shows us fruitful before Him (Titus 3:14) and they bring glory to God (John 15:8; Matt 5:16; 1Pet 2:12).

      But how do you "let your light so shine"? It is by having more of Jesus who is the Word of God (John 1:14), the Light of the world (John 8:12) and who lights every man that comes into the world (John 1:9). The more of the Word of God in your spirit, through the fellowship of the Word and the Spirit, the more you are lighted up, the more your light so shines.

PRAYER

         Dearest Heavenly Father, may you help us see the reason to draw near daily to Jesus, the Fountain of light, that we be lighted by Him and that in consequence thereof, we may reflect before men His love, character and power, in Jesus name,
