Jesus is thinking, He's thinking of me.(2 times)

When I am helpless and I needed a friend

TEXT

"And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;   And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey;..." - Exodus  3:7-10

From our Scripture reading for today, the Lord said "l have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows; And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians".

This is a clear picture of the God we serve. He is a God who is both touched with our feelings and infirmities and ever ready and able to fix them.

In this life we find ourselves, everyone is facing different and diverse kind of challenges. Whether financial, vocational, relational, or physical, we can be certain that nobody is an exemption.

God often comes for the salvation of His people when they seek Him for help. If we seek Him with the whole of our heart, we will find Him.

God is so concerned about His children; that is, those who are born again. It's easy to think our problems are unimportant in the eyes of God, but He doesn't feel that way at all. Whatever concern us concerns Him. We should never underestimate the Lord's interest in our affairs. He helped our ancestors in the Bible, and He can and will help His children today

If we, like Jehoshaphat, turn right to God and proclaim His power, He will intervene.

"And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah." - 2Chr.20.3

No matter how great our challenges are, God is greater than them all.

One question we should never leave unanswered is whether we are born again. If yes, then we can be sure of God being lovingly concerned about us.

Even the secret sorrows of God's people are known to him.

They cry and He hears (Exodus 3:7), it comes to Him.(Exodus 3:9).

God is not deaf to the cries of his afflicted people. He sees their oppression.

As the poorest of the oppressed are not below God's cognizance, so the highest and greatest of their oppressors are not above his check.

God did not just see their afflictions, He felt their pains and He promised them a happy settlement in the land of Canaan, that they should exchange bondage for liberty, poverty for plenty, labour for rest; and these He did as He had promised.

That is exactly what God intends to do in our lives today and beyond. Whatever situation you find yourself in, don't fret because you have a Father who is touched with your feelings and your infirmities. All we need to do is to cry unto Him, as the children of Israel did and we can be confident that He will surely come to our aid.

PRAYER

Dear Lord, I call upon Your name this day regarding everything I'm passing through, and I ask that You come to my aid and put an end to them all, in Jesus name. 🙏 🙏 🙏
