TEXT

"Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine." -

( Proverbs chapter 3 verse 9 to 10.

We see many people, reading and pleading this promise in verse 10 of the Scriptures quoted above without taking into heart the condition upon which the blessing is promised. There is that which we must do in order to experience the other. The Word of God is not to be read out of content, it must be strictly studied, digested, and adhered to if we want to experience positive results. For verse 10 ( So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.) to play out, verse 9 (Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:) must have been strictly adhered to.

We can not expect heaven to be opened or blessings poured out upon us unless we pay our dues unto the Lord our God and to His cause.

"Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again."  - (Luke chapter 6 verse 38)

Whatever measure we mete unto God, we must expect to be dealt with by Him, and yet more favourably than we deserve. If we humbly deny ourselves in any way or with anything to honour God, and resort to depend upon this promise, He will put the best honor upon us.

His Word says "So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine."

Many are poor because they rob God. They eat that which belongs to God. The Word of God says, when we honor Him with our substance, He will in turn make our barns to be filled with plenty. When we give from what we have, it is evidence of the fact that we are expecting  great returns.

We do not have to choose and pick what to obey as far as God's Word is concerned. Let us invite God into every area of our being, including our finances  Every word of God we hear and we do serves to invite God into our situation.

It is in giving that we receive from God. As we give to God our tithes and first fruit, we are invariably acknowledging that God has blessed us and that He deserves our honor.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, I thank You for all You have done for me from January to December. I come to You with my sacrifice of honor in Jesus Mighty name.
