CHANGE YOUR THOUGHTS

TEXT:

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end" (Jeremiah chapter 29 verse 11, King James Version).

What a scripture! This is so, so reassuring!

There comes some times in the life of every mortal when we all need reassurance from God. Such times are when what we see does not represent what we expected. At such times of despondency, God's word of assurance becomes invaluable!

It's vital to our spiritual wellbeing that we fix ourselves where God has placed us. We must endeavor to accept His view and opinion of us by His word. It's a costly mistake to view yourself from the perspective of man's opinion or rather, from your circumstantial standpoint in life. We must never allow men or events of life to devalue us! As a child of God, you are worth more than meets the eyes of man. "For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what He hath prepared for him that waited for Him", says Isaiah chapter 64 verse 4.

My counsel to you, my friend, is that you align yourself to God's view of you, believe Him, change those thoughts that ministers doubt, discouragement and degradation and begin to bask in His invaluable estimation of your person!

Norman Vincent Peale once said "Change your thoughts and you change your world ". How apt and true are his words! To this I simply add: renew your mind with God's Word, believe, confess and act on the new thoughts and very soon, you'll see and handle what they affirm.

PRAYER

Dearest Heavenly Father, I thank you for your loving and beautiful thoughts that you have towards me. Help me to get acquainted with them, believe them and act on them and make them my life's goals, in Jesus name.
