"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." - Acts chapter 1 verse 8.
When we got born again, we were born into the realm of the Spirit. At that point, sensuality becomes supplanted with spirituality. This is exactly what Christ has done for us. From that moment, what we need to do is to position ourselves properly so that we can enjoy the whole lot.
Those who receive the baptism in the Holy Ghost are thereby endued with power from on high, a supernatural power, power above any other power. This power enables us to be strong and courageous enough to do exploits for the Lord.
The book of the Acts of the Apostles chapter 2 verse 4 says, "And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." Speaking in other tongues is the gateway to the spiritual realm. With this wonderful experience, we become extraordinary, showing forth God's glory.
The Holy Spirit strengthens us, enables us to achieve much in life, and at the same time, shields us from becoming vulnerable to satanic attacks. As children of the Kingdom who desire to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, we must also make meditating upon God's Word our hallmark. The knowledge of the truth sets us free.
"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." - John chapter 8 verse 32. Again, doing what the Word says is one of the most paramount things that we should do in order to be strong in the Lord.
So many people have blamed it on God for every unfortunate event in their lives. They have failed to realize that God is all-powerful; and that His power to produce the miracle we desire is on the inside of us. All we need to do is to put it to work. This power can be activated when we affirm God’s Word with boldness. God and His Word are the same. When we declare His Word concerning any situation, we’re invoking His power to bring about a change in that situation. In other words, as we maintain the habit of meditating and speaking forth the Word of God, we will bring to bear a great manifestation of His power in our lives. Hallelujah!
PRAYER:
By the power of the Holy Ghost, I exercise dominion over Satan and his cohorts, cutting down all his machinations, schemes, deceptions, and devices against me, in the name of Jesus.
