WAITING ON GOD. Part 2
SONG:
When we walk with the Lord, in the light of His word, what a glory He sheds on our way while we do His good will. He abides with us still. And with all who will trust and obey.
TEXT :Ps.27.13 -14 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. --
Waiting on God is an important spiritual discipline in our walk of faith.
David wrote of his waiting on God during a time of great trouble when there was no solution in sight. Instead of giving in to despair, he maintained his confidence that he would 'see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living'. If he had not done so, he would have fainted under his afflictions.
Do not let the prosperity of the wicked make you to slip off your path to the fulfillment of your destiny.
*** Believe that if God keeps you tarrying even till midnight, yet He will come at the right time; the vision shall come and shall not tarry.
Wait in quiet patience, not rebelling because you are under the affliction, but blessing your God for it.
Never murmur against the second cause, as the children of Israel did against Moses; never wish you could go back to the world again, but accept the case as it is, and with a positive resolve, look unto God for His favourable intervention.
The Psalmist believed that in this world he would outlive his troubles and not perish under them. Let this be your conviction also.
Commit everything into the hand of your covenant God, saying, “ I will wait, if thou keep me waiting for many more days, I will not hesitate, for my heart is fixed upon thee alone."
Like Job will say in Job 14:14: "If a man die, shall he live again? All the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come."
We must be willing to tarry until it does come, as those that believe God's time to be the best.
Let us not be faster than God, like Abraham, so that we don't end up in having Ishmael, but wait patiently for God to bless us with our Isaac.(our complete laughter) Hallelujah 🙌.
PRAYER
O God, my spirit waiteth for thee in the full conviction that thou wilt yet be my Joy and my Salvation, my Refuge and my strong Tower, in Jesus name. 🙏 🙏 🙏
