TREASURE IN EARTHEN VESSELS

SONG

I am a blessed child.

I am a blessed child

Jesus made me a blessed child

I am a blessed child.

TEXT

"But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us." - 2Cor.4:7.

The outstanding thing about treasures is the value attached to them by men. This is what makes them special. God rates you and I as special treasures to Him.

To God, we are of much more value than we can ever imagine.

In God’s Eye, our souls are worth much more than the entire world put together. We are so valuable that it costs God the blood of His only Begotten Son to redeem our souls from perdition. You and I mean so much to God; we matter a great deal to His eternal purpose. So, stop despising yourself. The Bible says:

"For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's." 1 Corinthians 6:20.

The great news about the whole thing is that everyone born again, anyone that has accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his or her personal Savior is special to God and must see himself or herself as such.

It is time we begin to see the honor and dignity attached to the new man that we are. You and I are not biological accidents. We are creatures of destiny, creatures of great values.

I love the Message translation of the text for today; it says,

"If you only look at us, you might well miss the brightness. We carry this precious Message around in the unadorned clay pots of our ordinary lives. That's to prevent anyone from confusing God's incomparable power with us." -  [MSB]

In the eyes of men, we may look like Mr Nobody or mere men, ordinary. Our lives might seem nothing to write home about. On the other hand, and before God, we are treasures in earthen vessels. We are carriers of "the precious Message of the Kingdom around in the unadorned clay pots of our ordinary lives."

This may also interest you to know how valuable you are: God declares: “He that toucheth you and toucheth the apple of His eye ” Zec. 2:8.

We are the apple of God's Eye. We are His beloved. No one touches us and goes scot-free because of our specialty in God’s Eye.

Therefore, let us discover who we are in order to recover our birthright. We are peculiar and have a peculiar mission here on earth.

It is a great thing to know who we are and to function in that magnitude. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Thank You Heavenly Father for making me a pearl of great price. I refuse to be intimidated by the Devil and his cohorts, in Jesus Mighty name.
