THE LIFE THAT WINS ALWAYS

SONG

There is victory in Jesus name.

Power in Jesus name.

Glory, Hallelujah!

There is victory in Jesus name.

TEXT

"Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." - 1John.4:4.

The life that wins always, is the life that has God in contemplation. A life that is born of the Spirit is characterized by mysteries and signs and wonders. A life that bears the mark of God’s ownership is destined for success, no matter what!

Israel's victory was always borne from the fact  that God was with them. They had a relationship with God.

"And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people." - Lev.26:12

We can not win on our own or by ourselves. We must abide in Christ's Word by a regard to it, and it in us as a light to our feet. We must abide in Christ's merit as our righteousness and plea, and it in us as our support and comfort.

"Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me." - John.15:4.

It was all about God; nothing else was about the lives of the Apostles, but God. They could not have succeeded by their own strength and power, especially in such a hostile generation. It's like what we have in our society today. The secret of their success was in their abiding in their Savior Jesus Christ and He in them by the agency of the Holy Spirit. Paul had this to say:

"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me." - Gal.2:20.

In the same vein, it's not by anything we have done but that which Christ has done for us. Being born of the Spirit of God makes us more than conquerors. It's a step up above those on the natural plane. By the working of God's power, God's children are differentiated from others on the natural plane. The path of men on the natural plane is characterized by few days and full of troubles.

"Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble." - Job:14.1.

Being born again is by the agency of the Spirit of God. In other words, because l am born again, l'm no longer born of a woman but by the Spirit of God. In consequence thereof, I now possess eternal life as opposed to a "few days" that characterize them that are born of a woman. Besides, in the face of troubles, I am made more than conquerors through Him that love us (Rom 8:37)

The life of the child of God is enigmatic in nature. It's one that is characterized by signs and wonders.

"The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit." - John 3:8.

From the moment of being born again, no one understands us any longer;  we are thereby brought to the realm of victors and them that are more than conquerors. Hallelujah!

In other words, the life that wins is a gift, it does not require works but it's one of simple reliance on what Christ has done for us.

"But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." - 1Cor.15:57.

God has given us a victorious life to live in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Lord, I am grateful for making me more than a conqueror, an overcomer and a victor, in Jesus mighty name.
