Your Word is yea and amen

TEXT
"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path" (Psalm 119 stanza 105)
As today's Scripture reading states, the Word of God indeed is likened unto a lamp that shines in the dark, guiding the feet of those that walk by faith.
There is a power that dwells within Scriptures. It transforms the mind, mends the broken spirit, and brings forth life where there was once desolation. That's why the Bible says in the book of Hebrews 4 verse 12 that God's Word is quick and powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of the soul and spirit.
What are you seeking God for? Is it for comfort in times of trouble, direction in times of doubt, or strength in times of weariness? God's Word is readily available to those who seek it. All you need to do is to take up the Scriptures, and with the help of the Holy Spirit, read, and you will find the Lord speaking to you directly regarding that situation. Hallelujah!
When we are faced with trials and tribulations, it's good we recall to mind the promises of God. At such times, they will serve as balm to the weary soul, strengthening and guiding it through the storm.
Proverbs 30 verse 5 says, "Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him."
Yes, God's Word can be used as a shield in times of trials and temptations. It has the power to effectively tackle every circumstance of life. As we imbibe God's Word in our spirits, it springs up faith, bringing nourishment to the spirit, soul, and body, and at the end producing for us what it talks about.
If I may ask, how has the Word of God taken root in your heart? What fruits has it borne in your life, and how has it guided you in your journey of life? To this end, the Psalmist in Psalms 119 stanza 105 acknowledges saying,
"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path"
Another benefit of God's Word to the child of God is found in Psalms 119 stanza 11:
"Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee."
Apart from being a wellspring of life, refreshing the weary traveler and illuminating the path ahead, God's Word can also serve as an insulator from sin. Proverbs 4 verse 22 says that God's Word "are life unto those that find them, ... " As you inundate your life with God's Word, your life becomes synchronized to the much cherished God's Life, in addition to giving you victory in your daily encounter with satanic forces.
I encourage you therefore to make the Word of God your delight, and you will experience a testimony filled life, in Jesus name.
PRAYER
Precious Father, cause Your Word to dwell richly in me, to the end that my life will be filled with awesome testimonies in Jesus' Mighty name.
