THE BENEFIT OF ABIDING IN CHRIST

"If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you." - John 15:7 (KJV).

The Lord Jesus taught us how to receive from God. In John 15:7, He told us: "If ye abide in Me, and my Words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you".

The key word in that verse is "abide". What does it mean to abide? To abide in Christ is to make or accept His Word as the standard rule for your life. It also mean that we keep in memory His Word with the aim of doing or keeping it. In other words, by keeping His commandments, we abide in Him. "If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love, even as l have kept my Father's commandments and l abide in His love " - Jn 15:10. (KJV)

Everyone that abides in Christ has a reward awaiting him, to wit, "ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you " - John 15:7 (KJV).

What a word from the Master! The more you abide, the more heaven is open unto you! In other words, keep abiding to keep the heaven open unto you.

As you make the word of God the standard rule for your life, you will receive answers to your prayers always in Jesus name.

PRAYER:

Dearest Heavenly Father, I adopt your Word as the standard for my life and that being so, I abide in you and I receive answers always to my prayers, in Jesus name.
