"And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in." - Gen.7:16 -

There is something that is fascinating in the verse which I want to deliberate on. The Bible says ..."and the LORD shut him in."

  Noah built the Ark according to God's specifications. After all said and done, God Himself shut the Ark in order to shut out the waters of the flood and all else.

  Noah and his family's safety inside the Ark was not as a result of the fact that he built it according to God's specifications. It was not as a result of the strength of the gopher wood and the soundness of the architectural skills, that ensured that the waters of the flood would not come into the Ark. But the Bible says, "THEN GOD SHUT HIM IN...."

The Ark was a symbol, that is, it was a type of Christ. Noah and his household with the animals in the ark experienced divine protection until the flood ended and they were saved. "By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith." - Heb.11:7.

Those who neglected to enter into the ark died; and because we are in Christ, you and I will not die in Jesus' name.

   Moses' life was also secured in an Ark, which was also a type of Christ and there, his salvation was guaranteed - Exo 2:1-10.

The ordeal that befell all other children as a result of Pharaoh's decree in the land of Egypt at this time in question could not have its power over the child Moses.

  The book of Col.3:3 says, "For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God."

As we abide in Christ, and remain in Him, we can be guaranteed safety and fulfillment of destiny!

In actual fact, it is not because you have locked your house that keeps you safe at night. Neither is it because of our good driving skills that saves us from accidents; nor is it because of the kind of food we eat that keeps us healthy. God has been the One who has shut us in and shut out the devil that is seeking to devour us. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

My life is hid with Christ in God. So therefore, I'm divinely secured from the imaginations of the enemy, in Jesus' Mighty name.
