THE ARK NOT THE BABY

TEXT

 - And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself at the river; and her maidens walked along by the river's side; and when she saw the ark among the flags, she sent her maid to fetch it.

- And when she had opened it, she saw the child: and, behold, the babe wept. And she had compassion on him, and said, This is one of the Hebrews' children. Exo2:5-6)

    Our real value as children of God is not in our out look or physical appearance alone; there is more to it than we think. It is all about the Christ who has borne us and who we are in Him. It was not the handsomeness of the baby Moses that caught the fancy of the daughter of Pharaoh but the Ark itself. The Ark of Moses was a type of Jesus. The Ark served as a symbol of salvation unto the child Moses. It was the Ark and not the baby in the Ark that attracted the daughter of Pharaoh.

Jesus is our Saviour, hiding Place, Helper, Deliverer and whatever else you can ever imagine.

 By hiding ourselves in Christ Jesus. our true beauty becomes evident to all that see, know and hear about us. Jesus in us, and we in Him, advertises and introduces us into our places of destiny.

The moon, for instance is an opaque object; it does not have light of it's own to shine forth, what it does is to position itself properly by the Sun which gives it the light to shine.

When we position ourselves or we abide in Christ Jesus and we also allow Him to abide in us, then we can be at our best according to God's will and purpose concerning our lives.

"Christ existed before all things, and in union with Him all things find their proper place" - Col1:17 (Good News)

    I choose to use the Good News translation at this point in order to bring out a clearer picture of the verse.

 Christ is a place where we can find security and fulfillment in life here on earth and even beyond. He existed before anything and everything that was created. Without Him in our lives we will be shortchanged. I pray that people would understand this.

 The destiny of the child Moses for example was preserved and fulfilled because he was hidden in that ark, which was a type of Christ. Do you care for your destiny to be preserved and fulfilled?

 Then Jesus Christ who died that you might have life and have it more abundantly is the ultimate Answer.

Also the same book of Col 3:3 says " for we are hidden with Christ in God".

When we truly and wholeheartedly give our lives to Jesus, He becomes our hiding Place, we become saved and secured from all harm, unreachable to the enemies our souls; we are now the nucleus, Jesus the Circle and God the Circumference. Awesome!

Our security and fulfillment is not in any other than in Christ Jesus! Hallelujah 🙌. Would you like to surrender your life to Christ? Then, pray along with me:

  PRAYER:

Dear Lord God, I believe that you sent Jesus to save me by going to the Cross for my sake. He died for me, He was buried and you raised Him on the third day back to life for me. Dear Lord Jesus, I confess you as my Lord and Savior. Come into my life and live through me, amen.

 Henceforth, I'm born again and I hide myself in you, because it is only in you that I can find my well being, in Jesus name.
