TEXT

 "Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined." - Psalms 50 stanza 2.

  Zion literally means the house of God, which also means the Church. The Church is the body of Christ. Again, the Church is the bride of Christ, Who has adorned her with beauty and glory. She is the representative and the representation of Christ's Person here on Earth. God has called the Church out of the World so that she might teach the world the way of the Lord.

 God's ways are to be learned in his church. There, He holds communion with his people, teaching us the ways of duty which He requires of us to walk in, and the ways of grace in which He walks towards us. Yes, God teaches His people, by His Word and Spirit. It is worthwhile and at the same time a great privilege to take pains to go up to His Holy Mountain to be taught His ways. Those who are willing to take such pains shall never find themselves labor in vain.

     The Bible says,

 "And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem." - Isaiah 2 stanza 3.

      Those who attend to God's word with this humble resolution shall not be sent away empty without their lesson.

The world lies in complete darkness. God's plan and purpose is that through His Church, the world will come to know Him and be illuminated. In the Book of Matthew chapter 5 verse 14, the Bible says,

"Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid."

      Indeed, JESUS calls us the light of the world; and this is exactly who we are. The world is in gross darkness, so the world needs the Church to light it up. Towards this end, God has put people by your side for you to shine your light on.

      As children of light, we ought to shine as lights in the world. This becomes ou responsibility having been delivered from the domain of darkness and been made partakers of His Light. That being so, we ought to let our lights to shine forth on the dark world that we live in. This is one way of letting others to experience what has become our profit as God's children.

PRAYER

The Lord has made me the light of the world. I'm gonna shine my light that the entire world might be illuminated by the grace of God, in Jesus Mighty name.
