MEMORIZE AND CONFESS THESE SCRIPTURES AT LEAST THREE TIMES DAILY FOR YOUR MIRACULOUS HEALING. (PART 7)

INTRODUCTION

The Lord Jesus has clearly told us His mission to the earth. In the Gospel according to Saint John chapter 10 verse 10, He averred saying,

"I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."

The Lord Jesus came that we may have life and that we may have it to the full. It is important to realize that this life that the Lord came to give us is administered by the Holy Spirit. It's equally important to understand that we only have the Lord's Life in the proportion that we allow the Holy Spirit to work in us. If we resist, refuse or neglect the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives, then we cannot experience the fullness of divine life that Jesus brought to us.

Beginning from part 6 in the series, I stated that we have begun to focus on the Holy Spirit's role in divine healing. Having said that, we need to have in focus that it was the Holy Spirit who raised the dead body of Jesus from the tomb. Romans chapter 6 verse 4 affirms this fact saying that,

"... Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, ..."

Again, in Romans chapter 1 verse 4, we have it stated that Jesus was

"declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:"

With boldness, I state that the Holy Spirit has a strategic and sterling role to play in the quest for divine healing as well as the maintenance of divine health in our mortal bodies. Again, it's my well considered opinion that in order to experience divine healing, the Christian should cherish and esteem the ministry of the Spirit of God in his life.

For example, the Scripture for confession in part 6 in the series is contained in Isaiah chapter 59 verse 19. It reads as follows:

"When the enemy shall come in, like a flood the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him." (Emphasis added).

My point is that if the Spirit of the Lord is to act "like a flood" as Isaiah chapter 59 verse 19 envisages, we must strive not to quench or neglect Him. In addition, we must as well labor to stir Him up in us. (see 1st Thessalonians chapter 5 verse 19, 1st Timothy 4 verse 14 and 2nd Timothy chapter 1 verse 6, respectively.) To reiterate what I said in part 6 in the series, the words "like a flood" in Isaiah chapter 59 verse 19 is characteristic of the rich presence of God's Spirit in your life, which will serve to overwhelm and discomfit the enemy who has come into your mortal body with sickness or disease.

Now, we come to the seventh Scripture for confession in this series. It is found in Romans chapter 8 verse 10. I have refrained from lifting it from the King James Version, which again I consider to be a bit misleading. Rather, I chose to use the New Revised Standard Version. It reads,

"But if Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness." (Other versions like the Modern English Version, Amplified Bible, Classic Edition, The Passion Translation, etc agree with the New Revised Standard Version)

As a born again Christian there's no doubt that Christ dwells in you by the Spirit of God that is tabernacled in you. (see 1st John chapter 3 verse 24, and chapter 4 verse 13). The presence of Jesus is brought to your body by the Holy Spirit that dwells in you. Now, the Scripture says that "if Christ is in you, though the body is dead (sick) because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness" (Emphasis added)

In other words, that you have contracted sickness is not a death sentence. This is so because the Spirit of God that's on the inside of you will minister life (healing, restoration) to your sick body. The Holy Spirit does this to you because you have become God's righteousness in Christ Jesus. Like we said before, the Holy Spirit in us is our Life Giver. This invariably means that the Healer is at home with us! Hallelujah!

As you confess these facts, you'll find the Greater One on the inside of you rising for the defense and healing of your sick body, in Jesus name.

CONFESSION

Thank You Father because I am the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I also thank You Father because Christ dwells in me. Although my body is dead {sick}  (mention the sickness) because of sin, the Spirit of Jesus dwelling in me ministers life to my body because of righteousness, in Jesus name. In the name of Jesus, I command my body (mention the part of your body that is sick) to receive life and healing now by the Spirit of Jesus that lives in me, in Jesus name.
