HOW IS YOUR MIND SET?

SONG

Lord, I give You my heart, I give You soul. I live for You alone.

 Every breath that I take,

Every moment, I'm awake.

Lord have Your way in me.

TEXT

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.” (Proverbs 23 verse 7).

Everything that man has ever made, done or would do, has its foundation in the heart or mind.

All we see around us and we would ever see done by man has gone through the faculty of the mind and birthed by the thinking department and from there on to the final stage of exhibition.

There is nothing we see done by man which has not gone through the thinking process.

Any wonder the Bible says in Proverbs  4 verse 23, "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life."

The product of your life is the result of what you have in your heart. Therefore, you've got to guide it with all diligence. You must ensure that you entertain good and edifying things in your heart.

You may not be able to prevent a bird from flying over your head, but you can prevent it from making your head its nest.

The same applies to your heart. You may not be able to prevent all manner of thoughts from coming to your mind, both good and bad; but you can decide what should settle in your mind.

What are your thoughts like? Are they filled with light and hope or burdened with doubt and despair?

Your behavior as a person is a product of what you think in your heart. Learn to put away every negativity from your heart. Think God's thoughts so that you can have good success in life (see Joshua 1 verses 8).

According to our Bible reading for today, it is written, "For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he." (Proverbs 23 verse 7). This calls for us to reflect upon the nature of our thoughts. What is it that you desire to cultivate in thy mind?

I advise that you align your thoughts with those of God towards you with the understanding that your thought life defines you. Truth is, you can predict a man's future by his thought life. This accounts for why the Bible teaches us what to think about.

"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things" (Philippians 4 verse 8)

Commune with God in prayer using Scriptures, even as you fellowship with other believers, so that  you can discover the purpose of God concerning your life. By doing so, your life will experience positive changes, and it will never be the same.

PRAYER:

Dear Heavenly Father, I beseech You to align my spirit, soul, and body with your Way to the end that I experience a fulfilled life in Jesus' Mighty name.
