“...I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness." Jeremiah 31:3.

  The God we serve loves us with everlasting love!

 Many people simply can't believe that the Lord loves them. Some believe that He loves them, but only when they are living to please Him in some way.  Others have a  poor self-image of themselves; considering themselves unworthy, believing that their past is too bad for God to overlook and forgive. They think it is not possible for God to love them. If I may ask, why is it so hard for us to accept God’s unconditional love?

 Jesus said:

 "As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love." - John.15:9.

 One reason why we find it hard to accept God’s love is that we, as humans, find it hard to love others unconditionally. 

"This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you." - John.15:12.

Sometimes, we give reasons, or we excuse ourselves from loving certain persons because we think their behavior upsets or annoys us.

 In fact we place restrictions on extending favor to some people because of what we think about them. It is not so with God who loves us unconditionally.

The Bible says, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." - 2Cor.5.17.

  We come to God based on His grace and by the reason of what He has done and not otherwise.

  "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." -Matt.11.28

 God has arranged an awesome but divine way for us to be reconciled to Him, and His greatest desire is our relationship with others.

 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." - John.3.16.

 If you are having problems in accepting God's love towards you, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you the truth of our heavenly Father's love for you and to let it sink deep into your heart.

  It is good that you receive the truth that is revealed in the Word of God. That will give you a completely different story about your value as an individual in God's sight.

PRAYER

Wherever I may be, Your love encompasses me Lord Jesus. Fill me to overflowing with "agapé" love for others, in Jesus name.
