GOO IS OUR REFUGE.

 SONG

You are my hiding place

You've always filled my heart with songs of deliverance, whenever I am afraid.

I will trust in You, I will trust in You.

When the weak says, I am strong in the strength of the Lord.

TEXT

“The eternal God is thy refuge…” -

Deuteronomy 33:27

The word refuge may be translated “abiding place", which gives the thought that God is our abode and our home. The Bible says: "For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring." - Acts 17:28

The Bible also says in Col 3:3, that we are hidden with Christ in God. In others words, God is our Home. It is at home that we feel safe; with the world shut outside.

"Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word." - Ps.119:114

When we are with our God, we dwell in quiet security. We fear no evil. He is our Shelter and our abiding Refuge. And so our hearts can always find rest in Him, when we are faced with life’s conflict or challenges. We turn to him, and our souls dwell at ease. In Him, we can commune freely, laying open or pouring out our hearts and all our hidden desires unto Him. This is because of His care and concerns for us. When we do this, we are bound to have joy in Him which far surpasses all other joy.

Being hidden with Christ Jesus in God brings about our true beauty and makes us attractive. Jesus in us, and we in Him, we are launched into His glory and into our proper places of destiny.

"Christ existed before all things, and in union with him all things have their proper place. - Col 1:17, GNT

The destiny of the child Moses was preserved because he was hidden in that ark, which was a type of Christ. Do you care for your destiny to be preserved? Then ensure that your life is in Jesus Christ who died that you might have life and that you might have it more abundantly. Our security therefore can only be found in Christ Jesus!

This is a great secret that every child of God should understand, because as we hide our lives in Christ, no enemy can reach us. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Oh Lord, You are my hiding Place, because it is only in you that I find my security, in Jesus name.
