FEAR NOT, GOD IS IN CONTROL!
TEXT:
"Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights." (Jonah 1 verse 17, King James Version).
God thinks good about you. He has a future for you and has plans to give you an expected end (Jeremiah 29 verse 11). Only God knows how to bring you to your glorious destiny. You may not be able to fathom or to comprehend how He's going to do it. Besides, it may come in a strange or in an unusual way. But as His child, all you do is to trust Him in every circumstance of life. Never be afraid. God detests them that are fearful. Fear signifies faithlessness and there's no room in heaven for such as are fearful (Revelation 21 verse 8).
You may not like what you are going through in life right now, but I can assure you that God is in that situation with you. He has promised never to leave you or to forsake you (Hebrews 13 verse 5). Even in that situation, God is working out things for your eventual good.
"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." (Romans 8 verse 28). Yes, "all things work together for your good". It doesn't matter what it is. You may not like what you are seeing in life, but God has the ability to turn all things around for your good. That's why He's God!
The Bible says that He does "great things past finding out and wonders without number" (Job 9 verse 10); and His ways are past finding out! (Romans 11 verse 33) When we remain faithful and patient unto God, we discover His awesome wisdom in taking us through those "unpleasant moments" of life! As God's child therefore, you need not fear because He's firmly in control of your life and what you see in life.
Be careful because what you sometimes see as an adverse situation may after all be the vehicle God has provided for the fulfillment of your destiny. This was the case of Jonah. In the Scripture reading for today, we are told that God "had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah...". What looked like death to Jonah became a vehicle of fulfillment for him to accomplish his purpose in life. In the fish's belly, God kept him; so He will keep you until your miracle shows up, in Jesus name.
In the same vein, Joseph couldn't understand why he had to be sold into Egypt. But eventually, it worked out together for his good because Egypt was God's place of fulfillment for him.
Your present predicament may, after all, be God's way, in His wisdom to fulfill you, so don't detest or be angry with Him. Also, don't resist Him. Learn to submit and to wait on God. He knows what He's doing! I prophesy that your time to testify has come.
PRAYER:
Dearest Heavenly Father, I entrust my life completely into your Hand. I believe that you mean well for me. Whatsoever I come across in my life works together for my eventual good, in Jesus name.
