DO NOT BE AFRAID

"Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s” - 2 Chronicles 20:15b.
King Jehoshaphat was a dedicated child of God. When he heard about three fierce armies coming to attack his kingdom, he responded amazingly with faith.
Scripture tells us, "And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah" -2Chr.20.3
How do you and I respond to challenges of this nature and not give in to fear? Is God our first resort or our last resort over challenges of this nature? Many out there, usually turn to God as the last option when they have been grossly disappointed by all other means.
King Jehoshaphat did not make that mistake regarding the invading armies of three different mighty nations; rather he resorted to seek the face of God with a fast as to what to do.
There is a great lesson to learn from the King and the people of Judah who chose to trust the power and the promise of the Lord.
"And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth for ever." - 2Chr.20.21.
They chose to fight with an unusual and non-conventional weapon: praise songs
Now see what God did to King Jehoshaphat’s enemies: “As [the appointed men] began to sing and praise, the LORD set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated” - 2 Chronicles 20:22.
What is that battle in front of you my brother or my sister?
God is saying to you now not to be afraid, or dismayed because of the vast opposition and forces, for the battle is not yours but God's. Hallelujah 🙌
When we are faced with the challenges of life, we have to seek God for the possible solution. This can be done in various ways. We can approach God by prayers and supplications or by praising Him for who He is, then we rest in the fact that the Creator of the Universe goes before us to help tackle whatever problem that stands in front of us. God is always and ever ready to respond to the requests of His children. Praise the Lord!
PRAYER
Lord, I praise You for Your power. I need only to look to You, because You will go before me and fight my battles. Please forgive me for the times I took my eyes off You and became shaken and fearful. Help me to step out in faith, knowing You go before me, in Jesus’ name, amen..
