CHRIST'S VICTORY IS OUR VICTORY!

SONG

Jesus conquered the World.

And gave us victory.

Victory, victory Hallelujah!

TEXT

"He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil." -1 John  3:8.

From our Scripture reading for the day, we see that the purpose of Jesus coming to earth was to destroy the works of the devil! This was done on the Cross two thousand years ago. When Jesus died on the Cross, it seemed like He was defeated and that satan was victorious over Him.

Glory be to God Almighty, for on the third day, Jesus rose from the grave and thereby, triumphed over the enemy.

By His death and resurrection satan was stripped of his authority. In the book of Matthew 28:18, Jesus said “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” This same power and authority has been given to us (Lk 10:19), so therefore, Christ’s victory over the enemy has become our victory. Hallelujah!

When we accept the Lord Jesus as our Lord and personal Saviour, we thenceforth share in His death, His burial and in His resurrection. In effect therefore, the history of Jesus has become our history. We are partakers of His victory.

Jesus Christ, the Lord has elevated us to the position of power, authority, victory and success. We can therefore never be defeated or disadvantaged in life.

"And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus." -  Eph.2:6.

With Christ seated at the right hand of the Father, the seat of authority, the Word of God says that we are actually seated in Him!

Our being born again gives us access to that position of authority. It further gives us access to the Name of Jesus Christ which is above every other name, and now we can use that Name towards God and against the enemy!

Whatever battles that come our way should be confronted with the consciousness that we have authority over our enemy through Christ because satan is a defeated foe. Jesus defeated him for us on the Cross of Calvary two thousand years ago. Hallelujah!

Be of good cheer brother and sister.

"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." - John.16:33.

PRAYER

Thank you Father, for making me  seated with Christ in High places. I therefore function from the position of authority and victory in the name of Jesus Christ.
