TEXT.

"I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,..." - Luke 15:18 -24.

Our God will always give a second chance to any of His children who decides to come back home like the prodigal son, forgiving him for all the mistakes.

He is full of mercy. He's loving, forgiving, kind, and Mighty in miracles.

There are usually moments of failure and despondency in life. God, like the father of the prodigal son, is ever ready to welcome us back home. This is so, no matter how far away we've walked or wherever we find ourselves today. We can be confident of the fact that He is able, more than able to turn around every wrong road we've taken and get us back on course, making us stronger than before.

Let's consider the story of Apostle Peter. He was one of Jesus' disciples whom Jesus had previously called a "rock." At a point, Peter had  claimed that he would never deny Christ; yet he denied Him three times shortly before His crucifixion. "And Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. They said therefore unto him, Art not thou also one of his disciples? He denied it, and said, I am not." - John.18:25.

Nevertheless, when he came back in repentance to the Lord, he was fully reinstated as if he had never sinned before. This was like a second chance  granted to Peter and thank God, he did not misuse it but rather, he made the best of it.

This same grace is available to us, no matter how far we have gone astray from God.  He is always patiently and lovingly waiting to have us back home.

"For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men," - Titus.2.11.

When He speaks to our hearts, He waits patiently for us to respond. When He gives us a calling, He will never allow us to be defeated or to fail. God can always make use of every failure or defeat and turn it around for good to the amazement of all.

Press forward, dear friends. He has more ahead for you! He makes all things anew. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Thank you, Heavenly Father, for giving me the opportunity to make amendment in the areas I've gone astray in Jesus' Mighty name.
