 "Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.   For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon the." - Isaiah  60:1-2

To arise means to get up. This has to do with determination, making a conscious effort, doing the unusual, leaving one place for another.

Do you want to experience the glory of God shining upon you? Then you must be prepared and ready to rise from wherever you are. You must be ready to do the unusual, the extraordinary, the uncommon.

There were so many men and women that made up their minds to do the extraordinary in order to achieve what they wanted. People like :

The woman with the issue of blood (Lk 8:41-48). She made up her mind to get her healing by all means. Despite the traditional barrier of uncleanness for good twelve years, she went ahead to touch the border OF JESUS'  garment and the fountain of her blood stanched.  "And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any,

Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched."  - Luke.8.43-44

Hannah was another example, who refused to eat as usual when she went to worship with her husband and the family at Shiloh. God granted her request.

  "And as he did so year by year, when she went up to the house of the LORD, so she provoked her; therefore she wept, and did not eat.

 And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the LORD, and wept sore."  -  1Sam.1: 7,10

Apostle Peter did the unthinkable by walking on water. He rose from the ship to meet with Jesus on the water. The Bible records it as follows:

 "And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus." - Matt.14.29

I believe that God wants to exceed your expectations! He has amazing things stored up for you. He’ll take you to places that you’ve never dreamed of and give you breakthroughs  that seemed impossible. His glory has risen upon His people. Things are going to fall into place so that you can accomplish what God has placed in your heart. Even the hidden dreams that you’ve given up on, God has not given up on. He is going to do exceedingly, abundantly above and beyond all you could ask, think or imagine!

Your mind may try to talk you out of it, but if you listen to your heart, courage and zeal abound on the inside of you. Don’t let discouragement hold you back or keep you down. It’s time for you to arise. It’s time for you to shine. Let that sink down into your spirit today because it’s time for you to receive every spiritual blessing and move forward in the destiny He has prepared for you!

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, I come to You today with an open and humble heart. Thank You for choosing me and preparing a bright future for me. I will arise and shine. Let everything I do bring honor to You in Jesus name. Amen.
