A WORD FROM THE LORD

SONG:

When Jesus says yes

Nobody can say no

When Jesus says yes

Nobody can say no

TEXT:

"There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, So I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee." (Joshua 1 verse 5)

A word from the Lord is enough to keep one all through life. Are you faced with challenges? Just try to get a word from God concerning that situation. Once He has spoken, then you can go to sleep, because He can never but ever be true to His Word. Hallelujah!

I want to bless God for my pastor, my friend, and my  husband, who took the time to explain the difference between LOGOS AND RHEMA. Logos means the written Word of God, while Rhema is the quickened Word of God for a specific person regarding a specific situation and is brought to us through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

The above verse was given to me by the Lord some years back, about seventeen years ago, in a program organized by my beloved Mummy in the Lord [Evangelist Godiya Ajiya]. The program was the PRAYING MOTHERS INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE that was held in Kaduna, Nigeria. Ever since , I have run with the Word for years, and I'm still running with it.

"There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, So I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee." (Joshua 1 verse 5).

As children of God, we should never allow ourselves to be intimidated by anything or anyone. He said, “As I was with Moses, so I’ll be with you. I’ll not fail you nor forsake you”. As He said it to me, He’s saying the same to you even now. Let us be strong and courageous because God’s Word is dependable and reliable. Whenever others are terrorized and full of fear concerning any situation, we ought to stand bold and full of courage. No matter what is happening around us all over the world, the good Lord is our Security. It will interest us to know that there is no one, no home, or nation that is not having a bite of what is happening globally.

In the face of all these, let us not allow ourselves to be moved.

"They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever."  (Psalms 125 stanza 1)

It is also written that unless the Lord watches over us, we will become vulnerable to the evil circumstances that are all over the world.

"Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain." (Psalms 127 stanza 1)

God has guaranteed us His abiding presence. Hence, we can be confident that we will always witness His deliverance, no matter the circumstances.

“Be content with such things as ye have: for He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, "The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.”” (Hebrews 13 verses 5 to 6)

Are you having any problems in life? Don’t worry, as long as you are His child. The magnitude of the problems confronting you shouldn't intimidate you. Just believe that He is ever near you, and that you will emerge victorious because you have made the Lord your Delight. Hallelujah!

PRAYER:

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
