Walk in the light of God.

"I have come as a light to shine in this dark world, so that all who put their trust in me will no longer remain in the darkness." (John 12 verse 46, New Living Translation)

    As we can see, the world is in thick darkness as in the midnight. The whole situation seems to be in a state of emergency. Thank God Almighty who has provided a way of escape for us. Jesus came that by faith, we may have light, and we may shine the light so that the World may be illuminated and no longer be in the gloom.

    When the Bible says "whosoever", it means a very wide term. It means you and me, everyone, and anyone out there. When we put our trust in Jesus, we will no longer sit in the dark shadow of  despair or death but we enter into the warm light of the day and there, everlasting joy shall never end.

This is not usually so with some people, because many people find it very difficult to come into the light at once. They choose to be in the dark because of their deeds, as the Bible rightly says. This is usually traceable to the devil and his deceptive acts.

 "And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil." (John 3 verse 19).

    A cloud may sometimes hover over us to obscure our vision or our direction. We can decide to say we shall not abide in darkness if we believe in Jesus. That settles it,  for Christ has come to give us broad daylight.

   "Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." (John.8 verse 12).

    His coming can never be in vain. If we have faith in Him, we have the privilege of the fullness of light: and by doing so, we will not walk in darkness.

Therefore, let us shake off our depression dear brothers and sisters. Let us not continue to abide in the dark, but in the light. For in Christ is our hope, joy, and eternity.

Look to Jesus, to Him only, and you shall find peace and joy, in Jesus name.

PRAYER:

Thank You Heavenly Father for Your light which has been made available for us in Christ Jesus. We shall never walk in darkness and the works of darkness shall not prevail over us, in Jesus Mighty name.
